space, not space like outerspace, but just physical space. Even without any planets or stars, there would always still be space.

Yet it seems I'm "eternally" wondering why religion keeps infiltrating this section.

I can only think of one thing: love. You will change, your physical self will die. You will leave all of the "things" you accumulated in this life. The one precious thing you take with you is the love that you have given and received. We have the potential of residing in the prescence of God. And God, to me, is the essence and source of all love.
