I have heard earlier in the cycle blah and later in the cycle blah but I cant remember which gender is in which

kickassk, I know sprem determines sex however I was told that the survial of one gender sperm over the other can help a couple determine when in the cycle to have sex

I'm not an expert on this, just trying to remember what I can. I believe that "female" sperm are slower swimmers, but more resilient so you would want to have sex before ovulation, be on top, and not orgasm. "Male" sperm don't live as long, but are faster swimmers which means you want to have sex as close to ovulation as possible, be on bottom, and orgasm.

Neither is correct. The gender of a child depends on the sperm that fertilizers it, and you have no choice in that matter.

You can give an advantage one way or the other depending on which you want.
If you want a girl, have sex about two-three days prior to ovulation as the female sperm will last longer although they swim slower and will reach where the ovum is later.
If you want a boy, have sex close to, or immediately after ovulation as the male sperm will swim up faster, but they die more quickly.

Sperm dictates the gender, however, I did hear that female sperm are stronger swimmers- so if the egg is higher in the falopian tubes, they stand more of a chance of making it to the egg

no it depends on what sperm gets into the egg

the sperm controls sex of the baby

it will tell also if you are heavier when you concive their is a good chanche baby will be boy
