My girlfriend has been married for 5 years and with her husband for 8. they have a little girl and another one on the way. Almost 2 years ago he cheated on her (while she was pregnant with their daughter). It was a really ugly situation. He would stay gone for days at a time, fight his pregnant wife to get out the house to go see this chick. the chick even tried to have my friend arrested and filed for a stay away order against her.
He straightened up earlier this year (i think it was because my friend had finally moved out on her own and was even dating this fione azz dude etc) so once he started weraing his good husband hat, she took him back and things have been pretty cool between the 2 of them.
My friend started a bookclub for women awhile ago and she made some post about it on a few online sites. So about 2 weeks ago, she got an email from the chick her husband cheated with.
cont in a moment.

the email was basically apologizing for her part in all the drama etc. So my friend excepted her apology etc. and then the chick made a request to join the bookclub. So my friend granted her this.
Now this weekend we have a meeting coming up and its at the home my friend shares with her husband..... and the chick is coming. I was floored when she told me this to say the least. So now her husband is mad about this.... I am too honestly.
So her and her husband had a nasty argument today about the upcoming meeting and his ex mistess attending. So she leaves and goes to the moves to see "why did i get married" of all things with her newfound friend. Im like "WTF" are you thinking.
She says that shes not worried about him being upset because she has forgiving them both for the mess they put her thru. Now she's being the bigger person and refusing to let this hinder what could be a good friendship.
wtf!!!!!!!
whats your take on this mess.

@ kay405. lmao. I swear earlier today I called them 2 Reba & Barbra - Jean. lmao. she didn't think it was funny, but i dont understand this whole situation.
Im like "what we gonna whoop her azz when she get here??" when she first told me of this, and she's like "no. If jesus can forgive... why cant I??"
im lost, and im thinking about sitting This meeting out because im liable to just slap the bytch off GP. All those nights I had to leave my house and go and talk my girl down off the deep end because of what this sl.ut was doign with her husband, and now they all at the movies together like nothing ever happened. I cant be a party to the bullshyt. I love my friend to death, but I think i may have to pull away until she comes to her senses on this here mess.

I have NO idea what she is thinking! Either she has the mindset "keep your friends close and enemies closer" or she's just lost it. There is NO way I'd let that homewrecker in my house, willingly! Her husband has every right to be angry with her, it seems he's really wanting to stay away from a mess like that again. And, it sounds like another mess is starting up. Her husband, and you, need to sit down and talk to her, and explain to her the problems this could cause. If necessary, her husband needs to forbid it.
Either that, or she's been watching too much "Reba".

You've got to be kidding! Has your friend lost her mind? It's okay to forgive folks and move on. But becoming actual friends and inviting a former "back stabber" into your home?? Hell to the No!!! Hopefully your friend will come to her senses before it's too late and another "situation" occurs.

I got to be friends with 2 of the women that my ex boyfriend cheated with. It was hilarious all the things that they told me that he would say about me and the things that he would tell them. He'd use the same lines on all of us and we'd compare notes. And the real kicker was that I took him back after him cheating on me with them and he didn't know that I'd be friendly with these women. Then I dropped the bomb on him that I was friends with them and he nearly **** himself!! One of the women actually suggested that she come over for dinner some night while he was there without telling him.

NO WAY....absolutely not! The only reason she wants to be in the book club is so she can have some sort of insight into his world through your friend. Tell her not to even get involved.

Your friend has to be the most naive adult in the world. This woman is getting close to her to get closer to her husband. This is nuts!

it fairly is exciting to think of approximately, yet no. in the 1st weeks after a smash-up the belief is tempting, by way of fact i could desire to make certain the jerk squirm, yet I in no way do by way of fact then you in no way get the closure you're able to flow on and discover the courting you fairly need.

Absolutely no way. If it was to confront her regarding what happened then maybe she would get closure but other than that - no way!

Forgiving them is a very mature and saintly thing to do.
I don't blame your friend.
Unususal, very much open minded. ...and brave.
I admire her.
That's why ordinary people freak out.
