A friend of mine called with the most horrible story! She told me that she was out today with her little one doing some shopping...her daughter is 4 years old. Anyway, her daughter was in the basket looking through things as my friend was standing in line at the checkout, and her daughter stood up and started asking a bunch of questions while the checker was talking. The checker grabbed the little girl by the arm and told her that it's rude to talk when grown-ups are talking. My friend told me that she grabbed her so hard it left a mark on her arm...it's now bruised a little.

Her husband thinks that it's wrong that she's going to press charges against the woman for physically harming her daughter. (He's a moron)

I think she should not only press charges, but she should sue her!!! Nobody has a right to put a hand on your child like that!

Who agrees???

Kasia (or however it was spelled)...you are rude. This little girl is only 4 years old. She's not being disrespectful, she's being FOUR. I am the one that is telling my friend to sue...all she's doing right now is pressing charges. The police don't pay you to do that.

Sam? I only recently changed my avatar because I colored my hair from blonde to brunette. Get off my back already.

For anyone else that asked about the little girl being grabbed because she was possibly going to fall out of the cart...I asked my friend that very question. She said that she was up against the counter when she stood up. She got a little upset with me for asking that question, too. But, it was a legitimate question. The woman was just angry because she interrupted. I cannot believe a grown woman would get ANGRY with a four-year-old child!!!

UGH...these are the last details I can give... I have to get laundry out of the dryer!! Chuck? She told me that she immediately asked for the manager. The manager just did what managers are trained to do..apologized and took notes..name, number...all that jazz. I guess I'm freaked out by this because I am a mom, and I think it's absolutely wrong for anyone to touch anyone else's child!

I don't know that she can sue but she certainly could file charges against the cashier. The least she should have done was to have gone to the manager. Unless the cashier grabbed her because she was afraid the child was going to fall out of the cart, that could have been the case. Otherwise, she had no right to grab the child.

hi copycat! Is the checker a he or a she? Well, whatever. The checker was supposed to say it to the little sweet girl, gently not grab her by the arm and...you know. It is rude to talk while others are talking...but that's worser. When i was a lil girl i got my arm touched by a cigarette on purpose because of some man who told me to stop staring at him...
But it is wrong for someone to do that, very.
Sue her/him and see what'll happen...
i agree
