Magic is stronger?I heard that on that day, spells are stronger!

In Greece,it is believed that bad spirits are out on that day to harm humans, but they get confused when they see all the costumes of ghosts and witches etc.and they leave!

Have you heard of any stories like that from where you come from?

It used to be in the olden days that this was All Hallows Eve or All Saints Eve ,hence the word Halloween. Yes I have heard magic is stronger on this day but at midnight it goes all away .

Haroula,
YES! It is true and based on a religious thing-a-ma-jig. I am Catholic; therefore I know this all too well.

I am also a person who is not perfect, therefore I do not go to discuss these things on Y!A "R&S" with all those holy rollers.

Best to you! Star coming at you now.....
