I have lost both of my car keys and they are nowhere to be found. Without the keys, I cannot start my car and have had to hitch a ride to work the last few days. How can I get an other key? Do I need to call a lock smith or what...?

Depends on the car you have. If it is a fairly new one, one that has a large plastic head, then it is coded to the cars computer. You'll have to get the dealer to make the key and they'll need the car as they'll have to program the key to the car. Pretty expensive as some run a couple hundred dollars. If it's an older car then, without the coded keys, then all you'll need is a locksmith and the keys run just a few bucks plus his service call.

A reputable locksmith will be able to assist you. According to me you should contact a locksmith they will be cheaper than the dealer, and they will do the job as good as the dealer.

You can call a locksmith, or go to the dealer with your VIN as well as proof of ownership, they can cut one from the VIN.

Been there, done that, got the taxi bill....:)
