1 is up/down the other left/right if they are not marked then it will have to be trial and error. park the truck exactly 20 feet from a wall and adjust the beam so it just touches the ground or bottom of the wall at 20 feet. this will be a perfect adjustment and not blind on comming traffic. your local walmart should have just the wall your looking for.

An accurate alignment can only be done in a shop with the proper equipment. An approximate adjustment can be done if you have a white wall and a black marker or masking tape. One screw adjusts the light from side to side, the other moves it up and down.
1-Vehicle on level surface 25 feet from wall
2- Mark centreline of vehicle and each headlamp vertically on wall
3-Mark a horizontal line for the centreline of each headlamp
4-Adjustment need vehicle sitting level, half-full gas tank, no load in the vehicle other than the jack and spare, tires at recommended pressure.
5-on low beam, position high-intensity zone two inches below the horizontal line, and two inches to the right of the vertical line

The screws on the top and bottom adjust the beam up or down. The screws on the sides adjust left or right. pull your car in so you can see the beams on a wall, turn the screws until they are the projecting the beam at the right level.

One adjustment screw is to move the light up and down, the other is to move it right to left. I suggest taking it to either a GM dealership or any automotive shop that has headlight aimers, to make sure the headlight is aimed correctly, which will improve visibility and of course for the safety of oncoming traffic.

Adjust one screw...if that doesn't work...then adjust the other screw...if that don't work then you may have defective screws or user error...
