Now, of course I don't mean to stereotype. However, I'm interested in an environmentally aware college, preferably not too far from New York. I've heard a lot of suggestions and I'm just looking for more.

Any help would be goodstuff.

Peace & love

Go to princetonreview.com and look through the rankings for colleges with a conscience or, and I think it's phrased just that way, hippie colleges. You can at princeton review look up colleges by environmental policies, etc. Good stuff, best of luck.

It isn't close to New York, but they don't get much more tree-hugging, birkenstock-wearing, dreadlocked, tie-dyed, and all-around hippie than the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. It's definitely worth checking out!
