I believe they live in a world of their own. If they had poor people as friends, real friends, then they would give their friends enough stuff they wouldn't be poor anymore.

the rich and the poor live in 2 totally different worlds. I highly doubt that any rich person is close friends with anyone that is poor. Most people i have meet that have made it and have become wealthy maybe not rich really but thye dont worry about money any more. Kind of have this arogance to them and honestly think that what they have done is totally because they are just that good. Never once realizing that really if it was not for the people they knew and were friends with that they would have never gotten to where they are now. Once they reach that point i no longer will deal with them.

Honestly, I'd have to say jealously and the other reason, stereotypical thinking. When you think "rich" you just automatically think that person has an easy life or that you get whatever you want whenever you want. This causes people to think you don't have to work in life like they do, which is especially true for people in lower class. There's also the sterotypical thinking that all rich people are complete jerks. This isn't always true, but it can be sometimes. They are often snobby or think they're better than other people because they're more successful. in your case, this obviously isn't true and I feel for you. It's just the way the public thinks of you, like a public image you know? I'm a blond girl, so some people think i'm automatically a "dumb blonde." I actually have an IQ one point below a genious so I hear. My mom got a lot of hate because she had red ginger hair, so people called her red head in an insulting manner. It's just how society sees people, you know? There's not much you can do about it, it's just how people automatically assume things... some more stereotypical examples is how all chefs are fat (and often times viewed with a french accent) or how foreigners are completely uneducated on customs of other countries or how people who listen to hardcore metal music are emo and dark. Ect. Another reaosn, although not as often, is jealousy. A lot of people can easily be jealous of your "easy" lifestyle (which is also stereotypical and an easy assumption) so they act rude to you because they want you to be in the same position as them. They are envious and wish they had just as much money as you do. After all, music shapes everyones life extremely well, and it's said that the more money you have, the easier life is of course. Everyone wants to have money. That's why they're jealous when some people actually DO succeed in the dreams they wish they accomplished, ESPECIALLY if they THINK that you didn't have to work for that dream.

No. I think billionaires pretty much think not only poor people are after their money, but other billionaires are as well. Take Bill Gates for instance. Who does he hire? H1B's instead of Americans. He is so rich, that instead of just trying to make America better, he is now taking on the world but, of course, at a cheaper price. I hope somebody comes up with some software that out does his by miles. I hope that somebody is an American that he replaced with an H1B.

World of their own. Just walk around Fort Lauderdale and look at the yachts, and those people aren't even that rich ($20 to $50 million). Monaco is even richer, but there are only 400 or so billionaires in the world, kind of rare.

I don't think the rich billionaires have any poor people as close friends. As someone else stated, if they were close friends, the rich billionaires would share enough wealth so that they wouldn't be poor anymore.

Firstly you have to be rich to be a billionaire, and second the rich people probably are to busy making more money and don't care about poor ones, so i don't think they would be friends.

No. Of course they live "in a world of their own." Who doesn't? I don't hang out with poor people, either, nor do I hang out in the inner city. Most of us form groups and friendships with like types because we have similar interests and similar customs and languages. That's why immigrants tend to stay with people from the same country and even from the same area of the country they came from. Very few of us venture outside these constraints for fear of rejection.

They're in their own world. The only poor people they see are in pictures and on TV.
