pull out a multiple of 2 from the bottom

Let me try to help
you have 2a-4b over 4a-8b

4a-8b can be written 2(2a-4b)
so you will have 2a-4b over 2(2a-4b)
you simplify by 2a-4b,you will get the answer and it's 1/2.
