Nobody can tell you exactly what the law is without knowing what state you live in. It varies from state to state, but in most states your father couldn't press charges unless you were under 16. However you could press charges, which often results in a situation where the parents pressure their child into pressing charges.

OK, now that you gave more info, the statute in Ohio is below, with more details at the link in the source list.

§ 2907.04. Unlawful sexual conduct with minor.

(A)No person who is eighteen years of age or older shall engage in sexual conduct with another, who is not the spouse of the offender, when the offender knows the other person is thirteen years of age or older but less than sixteen years of age, or the offender is reckless in that regard.

It depends what state you live in....in most states you both have to be over 16, so you're probably fine (not that I think you're old enough to be having sex, but with regard to the law). The age can vary from between 16 and 18, so you have to look up the laws in your state. Some key words you can use in searching are "age of consent" and "statutory rape" since if you were considered below the age of consent, he'd be committing statutory rape even if you are both agreeing to have sex. Shouldn't be too hard to find the info. Good luck!

Legal consent laws vary from state to state. In most states, you both are supposed to be 18 or over, but some states set the age at 16 and even lower. You can find out from the local office of planned parenthood what the age requirements are in your state. Be careful. Your father could make life rather difficult for your boyfriend if you are not of legal age

initially your buddy needs to appreciate what the regulation is for the state she lives in. It makes no difference that she is an grownup lady if she is in a state the place that could be seen rape. She might desire to probable be charged with unlawful sexual habit with a minor boy extremely than the greater hassle-free occasion of an grownup male charged with unlawful sexual habit with a minor woman. In a information tale of a 15 3 hundred and sixty 5 days old boy in Lancaster, Ohio who have been given a 19 3 hundred and sixty 5 days old woman pregnant the choose ordered him to pay $50 a month in baby help, whether the female here does face criminal quotes because of the fact he grow to be a minor. so as you will see, that's superb to first discover out the regulation of the land for the place she is residing.

Really depends on the state in which you reside, some states have age of consent laws as low as 14, some as high as 18.

Break up with him.
Your dad already dislikes him, the future would just be worse.

You need to be focusing on college!!!
Why is a 19 year old boy wanting a 17 year`old girl anyways?
