They complain about the escalating cost of the war yet keep approving money for it. Am I the only one who does not understand this?

The democrats are not affraid of George W. Bush. They approve funding to keep our troops safe while working to get them redeployed. It is not all that confusing really. It is somewhat like the Republicans claiming victory, but the need to stay the course.

Who is afraid of this president? House Republicans were at the mercy of and VERY afraid of GOP political goons roaming Congress to protect Cheney/Rove/Rumsfeld/Rice and W.Bush. One waiting his trial in Texas went by the name 'The Hammer' if you recall. So afraid were these 'men' that losing the gonads they were born with was a fair price to stay in Congress and do whatever was told to them by the GOP NeoConmen of Washington.

No, they are more afraid of the American people. They are playing politics with our soldiers lives. They keep their based appeased with saying they will get us out of Iraq but never do and thus keep the door open to make inroads with the war supporters or those who are on the fence. Also keep in mind these are mostly the same group of Dems that voted for the war as well.
