just a plan old projectile no spinning i dont think like throwing a ball for example im only in ninth grad so simple answer please.

There are entire fields devoted to this question. Do you want to include turbulent airflow in your considerations? Is the projectile uniform? Does it rotate? All of these things affect the resistance force.

A very general answer would be: air resistance applies a force in opposition to the direction of motion of the projectile dependent on the current velocity of the projectile.

Depends if the projectile spin left or right. As it mushroom or whatever, the wind have an effect on speed, distance and direction.
