WASHINGTON, Oct. 30 — President Bush lashed out at Congress today, the third time he has done so in two weeks, this time saying the House had wasted time on “a constant string of investigations” and the Senate had similarly wasted its efforts by trying to rein in the Iraq war. Its failure to send a single annual appropriations bill to his desk, he said, amounted to “the worst record for a Congress in 20 years.”“Congress is not getting its work done,” the president said in brief remarks from the North Portico of the White House.

He urged Congress to act on defense-funding legislation and on a compromise on the State Children’s Health Insurance Program, or S-CHIP.Representative Nancy Pelosi, the House speaker, responded sharply to the president’s criticisms.

“The president calls Congressional oversight that has uncovered tens of billions of dollars in waste, fraud and abuse in Iraq a ‘waste of time.’

We call billions spent in no-bid contracts to Halliburton a waste of money,” she said in a statement released by her office.

“Instead of criticizing Congress,” Mrs. Pelosi continued, “the president’s time would be better spent working in a bipartisan way to end this disastrous war in Iraq, keep our promises to our veterans by providing the largest veterans’ health care investment in history, and providing health care for 10 million children.”

Bushboy isn't fooling anyway. He will milk money for his cuddy buddies..and leave concerns here to the wind.

I hope Congress continues to stall, to let bushboy know that he doesn't have the power to control their minds....

Pelosi is right and Bush is no more than a failed leader sitting on his bully pulpit. Too many conservatives try and defend Bush but how can you defend a corrupt lying whore?
Bush gives Hyde the Medal of Freedom ("youthful indescretions") and conservatives applaud yet do nothing but ***** incessantly when Gore won the Nobel Peace prize.

Pelosi is playing pivot at the Democratic Congressional circle jerk. They are all spinning around on one foot doing nothing but screaming that the sky is falling.
They are an absolute insult to the people who voted for them.
I have been following politics since I got my first job in 1959 delivering news papers and I have never seen anything like this.
How she even has the nerve to criticize anyone after her dismal performance is just unconscionable.

It must be pure hell for the president now that he doesn't have the rubber stamp of a republican congress. Mr. President, remember the day you stood on a pile of rubble in NYC and promised you would find Osama Bin Laden? You're not getting your work done either.

Bush is obviously practicing obstructionism for political fodder for election slogans later.
Although his whole "uniter not a divider" presidency could be considered ONE BIG OBSTRUCTION TO THE WILL OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.
