I'm wearing my Halloween costume for most of the day tomorrow (to work, to school, to piano lessons). All this is preapproved and should be great fun. However, I am a Running Start student (college in the High school) and I take classes at my local community college. But, tomorrow (Halloween) morning I'm stopping by my High School to go to a half hour Drama Club meeting. I feel slightly uncomfortable going in costume simply because I don't know if anyone else will be in costume and I rarely actually go to the High school. Is it worth the trouble of changing out of the costume and then back into it? Or should I just go, and laugh with people if they laugh at me (which they probably won't, but I'm paranoid)? (My costume is very over the top-- super puffy and big aqua ball gown. I'm Galinda, from Wicked).

I think it all depends on who you are. If dressing up isn't your thing, then, yes, it is corny. But if you like to step outside the box and be someone, or something else for one day, dressing up on Halloween is great fun! I am 16 years old and I am still dressing up for Halloween. I'm going all out with my costume this year. I don't really celebrate Halloween either, but I love to step into other people's, or thing's shoes for at least a day, and the only time I get to do that is on Halloween. If you don't like dressing up, you can help pass out candy. It's a good idea, because, if you like candy, you get to keep whatever you don't give away, and you get to see all of the little ones having the times of their lives getting the candy that they wait for all year long. What ever you chose to do for Halloween is good with me. Hopefully this answer answers your question. :)

Hun go for it. I will be in costume all day and know there are several places where as an 'adult' I will be completely out of place, who cares, it is Halloween and fun. By the way I have been shopping today and stocked up on treats for trick or treat - anyone young or old not in costume can go away, the best costumes and funnier more inventive tricks get double candy. Call at mine, your costume sounds terrific, you can have triple candy!

If you laugh and make fun of yourself, ppl will laugh with you. Plus it doesnt feel as embarassing. But I'm so confident with everything I do anyway lol I wear costumes sometimes on random days and say weird random stuff to random people. its just fun.

Just wear it and if they laugh, or if they stare the whole time, just take it as they feel stupid for not wearing a costume!!
