I am finding mice droppings all over my rental apartment. My landlord was supposed to sent the "exterminators" in today to get rid of the mice. When I walked into my apartment today, I did not find any mouse traps. When I questioned the landlord he said that the "exterminators" were in today and have sprayed the apartment with something that if the mice smell it will kill them. I have 2 questions: 1 ) Is there such an "anti-mouse" spray on the maket? #2) Is finding mouse in my apartment ground to break my lease? Thank you.

1. Never heard of it, but a spray may exist.
2. I don't know the terms of your lease, but I doubt it.
Go buy some mousetraps. Either spring loaded or sticky ones. For spring loaded, put a tiny bit of peanut butter way back in where they poke their head. Not a meal, they can smell it, so just a bit.

I have no idea what sort of pesticide was used. However, discovery of a mouse in your apartment is NOT valid grounds for lease termination. Were that the case, half of the rentals in the nation would have invalid leases.

Go to a hardware store and get yourself some mouse traps. They are inexpensive and do the trick.

I've had a field mouse living in my apt. for about four months. We have tried everything to get rid of it. I have never heard of a spray that kills mice...and if there was a spray it would be harmful to you too. Our last resort is borrowing the neighbors cat for awhile. I don't think it is grounds to break your lease as the landlord acted n your complaint.
