I hate the Republican party because they support this and any warmongering, chickenhawk administration that sends people in uniform, like myself, to inflict wars of aggression and imperialism on the rest of the world. My kid brother is in Iraq right now. If ANYTHING happens to him, you better believe that every single war-supporting, Republican ************ that I run into is going to hear it from me. They'll be lucky if they don't get a fist upside their numb skulls.
- I hate the Republican party because they support the military-industrial complex that provides the materiel for these wars and diverts precious capital and resources from the rest of the economy. We can't afford universal health and unemployment insurance, subsidized higher education and recovery for the country's crumbling infrastructure because of this wasteful and immoral subversion. This vast and overly redundant arsenal provided a handy incentive for Bush and his sycophants to engage in a war of choice that, in no way, enhanced our security, protected our allies or met a credible threat to our country.
- I hate the Republican party because they readily use the tactic of employing stomach churning jingoism that gives these immoral foreign misadventures their popular drive and moral justification. This perverts the true nature of patriotism that, otherwise would induce young American men and women to wear our nation's military uniform and take an oath to protect and defend it and our nation's Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and domestic. Instead we wear it to maximize Halliburton's profit margin.
- I hate the Republican party because they're willing to go to no end to lie, distort fact, hide the truth, embezzle, kill, subvert the law, commit any underhanded act in order to hold on to power. These people do not play by the rules. Never have and never will.
- I hate the Republican party because they hate the Republic. They're willing to turn this country into a plutocratic theocracy, or even an outright dictatorship, that employs every Orwellian trick in the book in order to maintain their hold on power.
- I hate the Republican party because they reject the egalitarian legacy of the United States. They're willing to engage in a campaign of social Darwinism, (Ironic, in that most of them reject Darwin) to keep the country embroiled in various racial, gender, class and religious struggles as a mechanism to divide the general population. For instance, they use loaded code words that relegate Americans of non-white, anglo-saxon heritage into the category of demi-American and objects of derision and fear. I take this fact personally.
- I hate the Republican party because they're always willing to poison or destroy our air, land and sea to make a filthy buck.
- I hate the Republican party because they think that they have some moral or social superiority that entitles them to have dominance over the rest of us.
- I hate the Republican party because all of them are hypocrites of the worse order. Hate abortion, but love wars of aggression and the death penalty. Love freedom of religion, but hate all religions other than their own. The biggest of those hypocrites are the ones who know better. The ones who know that the party is run by the biggest gaggle of miscreants that was ever shat out by humanity. They are willing to give in to every recidivist policy that represents utter contempt for anything that's good for the country, because they know that those are the very tactics that keep them in power.
Now I could come up with more reasons why I hate the Republican party , oh yeah, lot's more. But I won't, because I don't want my blood pressure to go through the roof. So I'll end it with this: **** all of you Republicans. **** your mommas and your daddies and all the horses you rode in on. I salute you with an extended middle finger that exemplifies my utter contempt for you and everything you stand for. I hope you all burn in your much deserved special circle in Hell for everything you done to this great country.

The current GOP is dominated by trans-national corporations, the Oil Mafia and the Jesus freak right. This party is anti-union, anti-choice, anti-science and really believes that people don't need affordable health insurance. They have a belief that if the rich get richer there will be a trickle down effect....the only 'effect' from that kind of 'voodoo' economics is a slight dampening, but not much real wealth in terms of income. Then there's a war for oil in the middle east using borrowed money. (Yeah, right..it's not about oil!) A war that's getting to be more propaganda than anything else...yet they keep at it and if you mention the fact that it's been long enough they call you a 'liberal'. I wish I had more space to elaborate on this reactionary bunch, but on to the democrats.... The Democrats have more or less lost their way...they're supposed to be the party of forward movement and the sword and shield of the american wage-earner....in the last decade that seems to have been watered down....should they come back to being what they're supposed to be that would be a blessing. Let us pray!

These are the core differences:
Republicans believe that a free market can provide almost everything that a civilization needs in the most efficient manner possible, and the government should stay out of its way. Many republicans also believe in Social Darwinism, in which the poor, ill, and elderly should suffer the consequences of their condition without assistance as a way of strengthening society and serving as a example for others.
Democrats believe that unrestrained capitalism has caused great harm on society in the past and business needs to be held to responsibility by laws, much the same as people. They believe that because the disparity of power between a corporation, or great wealth, and an individual worker is so great, the government must protect the interests of the individual.
Republicans want to "save" social security by handing it over to investment firms - in effect, ending it. Democrats want to preserve social security as it is. Republicans would hand many functions of government over to business: see Blackwater, Halliburton, charter schools.
We have had a progressive income tax for nearly a century, in which higher incomes pay a higher percentage of tax. Republicans have been lowering the top income tax rate. Democrats believe that the tax structure should stay progressive.
Republicans favor legislating morals. Democrats favor legislating rights.

They are NO different. These parties were designed to divide the American people. George Washington AND Abraham Lincoln (both great American presidents and leaders) BOTH warned against this. Do you honestly think that you can be a saint by joining a certain party? Think about that. How dumb does that sound? That's like saying a racist wouldn't get a job at a minority's school. You know DAMN WELL that ain't true.

Its a matter of vision and line of sight. Imagine a podium from where both archetypes can look out into a crowded nation. The short attention spanned Republican typically see over the heads in the crowd looking for group representatives who claim to be the voice of organized clans or another word is corporations. These 'members' are of course better known as 'consumers'.
Democratic principle needs to be able to exercise patience and become able to appreciate nuance and gage the 'feel' of the crowd. Individualism as a human means knowing about diversity and variety's benefits to all of us. Addressing the expected needs of rigid statues as people is what seems to be the expectation of many right wingers in authority and whose propagandists continually tell to their constituency.

Making sure our economy stays fluid and prosperous it will not happen if things become over regulated and the populace is burdened with more taxes then NO ONE EATS rich or poor. What party is keeping the oil industry from drilling in alaska, from building new refineries and building more power plants?

There is a lot of extraneous baggage, but basically it boils down to where each side gets its money. Republicans are favored by big business. Democrats are favored by special interests. Either way, there's a lot of money to be raised. The rest of the stuff is just details...

Those who think for themselves are forced to vote Democratic for lack of alternatives.
Those who believe that any deviation from the Nazi Party line is "treason" are republicans.
