In the case of the McCanns perhaps its got more to do with the fact that you can dupe the British and their media some of the time, but if they find out that you did dupe them, then be prepared to feel their wrath as the British do not take lightly to being taken as fools and the McCanns have done exactly that, is it any surprise then that its now 'payback time' in both the media and public opinion.
I take offece that you accuse the British of being 'full of poison' when all they seek is justice and the truth without anymore of the McCanns continual lies, distractions and obstructions

Vile and miserable louts? I guess if everyone supported the McCanns despite the fact that they left three children alone while they drank the world would see us as being responsible and upstanding citizens then. If we all did this the rest of the world would probably think that it is common practise for English people to go out on the booze whilst leaving young children alone. Compassion is fine but people need common sense as well in regards to their opinions.

Anyone from outside of Europe with a brain, would realise that the anger is towards the parents for their coldness, self indulgence and neglect. We care when a family lose a child, we care deeply, we are right behind the parents. BUT, when we learn the parents often neglect their children by leaving them every day in a creche, then every evening alone in their hotel apartment, we get upset and can't forget.
I wouldn't say the people of the UK are full of poison, (if we are then it's all the food imported with chemicals), I would say the people of the UK expect parents to care for their children, and if you don't, and something terrible happens, as it has in Madeleines case, don't expect sympathy from us, our sympathy is with the child. The poor little soul that should have been safe.

I will say and continue to say,it is not the McCanns that bother me,it is the fact they closed the door and walked away This means it was a completely unavoidable act from whoever, but the fact remains the chance was given And i say again our daughter was born deaf and blind, and she died aged six,in all intents and purposes, she wouldnt have known if we had left the room,BUT we never did,and thats what makes us as parents different to them, except we only had one and now we have none, but its not because i walked away,Bile or not

I am not so sure that it is still about liking the McCanns or not on here. Some seem to have taken it to a personal level.

It has to do with a lack of willpower to find something more mentally engaging to fill their time with.
As for the rest of Europe hating us, I disagree. From my experiances I would say that they have open minds, some Brits are good, some are bad, it's more of an individual thing.

Anyone reading the papers in Europe must think we have the most biased press in the world, they have been Pro McCann from the start, and i thinks it's the other way around people in Europe don't like us because of what they read in the papers & think we are all Pro McCann.

The re.st of europe might hate us and think we are a bunch of vile and miserable louts but, they are coming here in droves to take advantage of our generous benefits - what hypocrites that makes them. Child neglect doesn't sit well with most British people and we are not scared to speak out about it.

70% don't trust them, so say the Express. And I am one of them. It is nothing to do with being "vile and miserable louts"
They have used money given in good faith to help find the child to pay their mortgage.
They have attempted to control media and the direction of the investigation, but squirm when asked awkward questions.
If a child goes missing, logically the parents should be the FIRST to fall under suspicion, even if it is just procedural to eliminate them.
