I am thinking of driving to Vegas on New Years Day... thought that since I'd be maybe going against traffic it'd be ok but I wanted some feedback since I don't really know. I'd be leaving early like around 7am.

Leaving for Las Vegas on New Years Day shouldn't be bad, most people want to be there for new years, and even if they wanted to goto Vegas on the 1st they'd be too drunk or hungover to drive that early. I've never noticed any traffic problems on New Years Day heading INTO Vegas...coming out is a different story.

Newa Years Day will be dead. The days coming up the 1-1 will be a mess and afte New Years will be another mess
But on the holiday most people will be wiped out from the party the night before.

Wont be bad at all, i was there last year everyone left on that day so coming in should be a breeze

should be fine, just watch carefully for drunk idiots trying to drive anywhere when they should be either still at the bar or sleeping!!!
