I would pay myself (and a few family members) out of debt.

I would give a "one time gift" to several other family members to help pay them out of debt, fix rooves, pay medical expenses, etc.

I would make any needed repairs to my house.

I would probably trade my Ranger for an F-150. Select family members in need of vehicles might also get an upgrade. My dad would get the Town Car he has always wanted.

I would set up scholarship funds for my high school and my wife's high school, as well as make donations to the colleges we went to for scholarship funds or needed improvements.

I would invest heavily in real estate.

I would make a hefty donation to Habitat for Humanity and also to the American Cancer Society or another cancer research organization.

The local food bank could use a trust fund set up that they could earn interest on. That would be another good idea for part of the money.

Some of the money would also go to rebuilding our local hospital, which was destroyed during the March 1 tornado. (Please go to http://winanmri.com and vote for Sumter Regional Hospital so that the hospital can win a new MRI)

My church, as well as the church in my home town and my wife's home town, would recieve substancial donations.

A large chunk would remain in the bank (well, divided among several banks actually)gaining interest.

I would quit my job and possible start my own company building furniture and toys.

I would also travel a lot with my wife and kids. England, Ireland, and Peru are on my list. I know my wife would want to see Australia. China would be another interesting location. I am sure there would be plenty of time to figure the details out, once I actually had the cash.

Well, I definitely would only keep about $1 billion, maybe $2 billion to myself. The rest would all go to charities. Such as, helping those in developing countries be able to be educated and not have to live in poverty, setting up a charity/shelter in the U.S. to combat homelessness and poverty, and to cancer/AIDS research.

Also, I would probably put about $3 billion into making a psychology clinic devoted to helping those who cannot afford the cost of the mental they need. That way, the drug addicts and mentally ill people can get the help they need and be productive members of society.

I honestly do not see how I could possibly use that much money on my own, and I couldn't just sit around all day in a big mansion that I don't need. I would continue to work, and buy myself a decent sized house (no more than four bedrooms), a good car, and the things I need. The rest of the money I keep would go into college funds for my children and into savings bonds.

Buy my folks new cars, buy my sister a new car and some equipment for her horse farm, pay off all debts they might have. But myself a modest, but nice home - 3500 sq. feet in the swankiest part of town ought to do it. Get myself a new S-class, a Porsche convertible, and maybe another automobile toy. Get my husband anything he wants. Buy my Golden Retriever a tennis ball machine and a team of 6 year olds to play with him all day. And then set up endowments at my alma maters, my local public library and probably a few other places. Then I'd spend the rest of my days traveling around the country going to baseball games!

I could basically live off of 1 billion. Maybe even less.
Buy a nice home for me and my future spouse. Poor into our future children's college fund and some more for their basic needs. 40 billion to a cancer research organization.
With what billions I would have left would go to some Eco organizations to help out earth.

I'd take 50 billion and donate to charity.

I'd use 6 billion to set up trustfunds for each of my children. I would set up trust funds for each of my grandchildren for their education.

I'd buy a nice house on the lake, one onTorch Lake in Michigan, for summer and one on Tenkiller lake in Oklahoma for the winter.

The rest I would invest and live on the interest. When I died, each of my children and grandchildren would get another 1 billion each and the remainder would be set up in a scholarship program for underprivileged children.

It doesn't matter because it will NEVER happen. That amount is at least 200 times the largest amount anyone has ever won.
