Now Bush wants to grant Blackwater immunity, basically he is saying a private company is above international law and our troops are world cops free to kill who they please.

It's getting there. I'd say 5 more years of this and we're looking at sanctions.

Can never happen. The UN is a tool of the US. All the conservative UN bashing is just the same as the claims the US media is liberally biased. Claim the opposite of what's reality typical of the American right
http://youtube.com/watch?v=KYlyb1Bx9Ic
The UN has a security council that has to agree before any military action can be taken. The United States of America is a permanent member of that security council so they have veto power. The UN can only invade America if the American government agrees to that.
I share your sentiments but please try to understand these International institutions. All the UN bashing by conservatives is like sleeping on the backseat of a car and then blaming the car when it doesn't move. The security council controls the UN, America for a very big part controls the security council.
The UN is not capable and has no authority to do anything like that. Please don't confirm the right wing slur they want to make of the United Nations

I BELIEVE the strength of our nation lies with the individual and that each person’s dignity, freedom, ability and responsibility must be honored.
I BELIEVE in equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunity for all, regardless of race, creed, sex, age or disability.
I BELIEVE free enterprise and encouraging individual initiative have brought this nation opportunity, economic growth and prosperity.
I BELIEVE government must practice fiscal responsibility and allow individuals to keep more of the money they earn.
I BELIEVE the proper role of government is to provide for the people only those critical functions that cannot be performed by individuals or private organizations and that the best government is that which governs least.
I BELIEVE the most effective, responsible and responsive government is government closest to the people.
I BELIEVE Americans must retain the principles that have made us strong while developing new and innovative ideas to meet the challenges of changing times.
I BELIEVE Americans value and should preserve our national strength and pride while working to extend peace, freedom and human rights throughout the world.
FINALLY, I believe the Republican Party is the best vehicle for translating these ideals into positive and successful principles of government.

Unfortunately the United Nations born after the world wars has ceased to be effective. It is now merely just a deliberate organ rife with double standards. It is a stage where the powerful influence the decisions. For example our American government can act as an accuser, the prosecuter, the jury, and the judge. There is no fairness in that logic.

You might want to keep watching over your shoulder cause they will get you. Consider moving out of the country. I hear Iran is nice this time of year and you'd be welcomed with open arms. You shouldn't be a criminal. You're going to lose your home if not your life for it.

The UN couldn't invade a wet-frigging-dream.
You see, the UN would actually have to DO something other than sit on their collective @sses collecting their enormous paychecks for doing nothing, and that's just not going to happen.
Invade the US!!!!
Ah-hah-hah-hah!!!!!
Ah-hah-hah-hah!!!!!
The thought of Richard Simmons and Clay Aiken invading is a more scary thought.

I can see it now, much like in other operations, France will send two guys. One UN representative will trip on a curb and twist his knee, causing them all to rapidly withdraw.

The UN thinks they can do whatever they want. So they'll do it when they want.
We need to pull out of the UN, they've been nothing but a detriment since we've joined.
