which is better? the xbox 360 or ps3?

me and my friend have a bet going on. wat ever console gets the most ppl in favor of it the person tht picked tht as the best gets 5 bux. i chose 360 and he chose ps3...

Ok this is a good question that gets bad answers. This is the thing about this particular question, it all comes down to what you are looking for. The 360 has a biggers install base and a better libary. As far as for those ppl that say the PS3 has more exculsive game, think again all the games from last years E3 that were for the PS3 only are now coming on to the 360 at the same time. Proably one of the most talked about games of E3 is already being put in the processe of be released for the 360. That would be MGS4, yeah its true Konami has been quatoed as saying it will be a possibilty for its up coming release. I mean PS3 sales are still down. Now dont get me wrong I have both systems. The PS3 has its own pros'. As far as technicall specs it is an advance machine. I mean with its built in Blue-Ray player and wifi, its got alot of potental. There will some great first party games in it line up. Once the console enters its two - three year age the games will be remarkable and ground breaking. Now that the Dual Shock 3 is coming out, it seems like the PS3 is finally on track to be a greater console.

First of all, there are more people that own Xbox 360's, so you will most likely get more answers from them. The PS3 is better. Everyone knows that the PS3 is better, Xbox 360 fanboys just don't want to be truthful about it.

The truth is, yes the Xbox 360 has more games, but it isn't better than the PS3. The PS3 has better exclusives coming than the Xbox 360 and has more exclusive games coming. When you look at the technology that the PS3 uses, the potential for the console, and the list of upcoming exclusive games, it's clear that the PS3 is better.

The Xbox 360 is outdated technology to me. plus so many Xbox 360's get the Red Ring of Death. The 360 shouldn't be called better when the system isn't even reliable. The PS3 is current and it is the future of gaming.

good choice. the ps3 has better hardware, graphics, hard drive, great potential, etc but it has had almost no huge hits( final fantasy 7 or halo 3 sized hits). Where as the 360 has great games and most of them are exclusive to the 360 and the pc (gears of war, halo 3, pgr3). it has halo 3 which sold over 300 million dollars worth in a week. it also has great games coming out exclusively for the 360(left 4 dead, ninja gaiden 2, mass effect, fable 2, i could go on but i have better stuff to do). until the good exclusive games come for ps3, it isn't even a competition.

Xbox 360 has a much better gaming library. It also has graphics that can satisfy almost anyone. Also, people prefer the 360 because of Halo 3.

i think ps3 is the best because it has HOME coming out spring 2008 and that is going to be fun. It also has a web browser and memory card. And it doesnt show red light as 360 does.

Xbox is too overrated. Psh. I say PS3 cause I've always liked Playstation..never liked Xbox because the majority of games are shoot-em-up and after a while of playing so many shoot-em-up games..I get reaaaaaally frustrated.
