Well, the surge worked. Now, violence is down to 2005 levels, back when things were just horrible instead of a complete disaster. Thank you El Presidente.
More seriously, when will you stop thinking in bumper sticker slogans, and start thinking about the hard questions?
* How will the surge's (limited) sucess keep going when we must reduce our troop strength in less than 5 months? Will the Iraqi police and military miraculously become competant?
* How can we reduce Iran's influence in Iraq when the Iraqi government has repeatedly made statments and actions to build closer ties, even against our objections?
* How can we keep Turkey from invading? Cracking down on the PKK? That will make many Kurds mad, and they are the one group that hasn't given us trouble.
* How can we root out the militia influence in Southern Iraq? There are other militias besides Sadr Mahdi Army we have to worry about, and who attack us.
When you have good answers to any of those, maybe then we can discuss "victory".

A Liberal will only figure out that surrendering in Iraq is not an option when you see a little yellow puddle forming around his shoes... as a terrorist holds a knife to his throat.

OK, we won't surrender, let's just leave. As President Nixon said about Vietnam, peace with honor. Semantics for we'll never win so we're leaving.

do Republicans have a single clue about WWII/Hitler?
because they keep wanting to compare the two soooo badly... where there are VERY FEW similarities... especially to Iraq...
do Republicans just say "liberals don't use logic" to distract everyone from the blatant fact that they have no clue what "logic" is?
seems so...

When someone can give a good, HONEST answer about what constitutes a win, perhaps libs will quit questioning Mr. bush's motives. Just exactly what is a win?

Did the Europeans learn their lesson? I doubt that. And never use logic with a liberal. It makes them snippy.

If we didn't start the war, there would be no need to surrender.
