There is a huge difference. A puppy needs housebreaking. You can't do that if you are away 8 hours a day. A puppy needs to be socialized. You can't do that if you are not home. A puppy needs lots of time and attention throughout the day to stop it becoming distructive. If you are at work all day the only way to avoid the distruction is to leave it in a crate all day. By the time it becomes a dog it should already be housebroken and have more control of it's bodily functions so yet it can go from the time you go to work until the time you get home. A dog should be socialized by the time it's a dog and no longer a puppy. A dog often would rather sleep all day and be ready for play and attention when it's owner gets home. It should also be trained so it won't be distructive once you are gone so it won't need to be left in a crate for 8 hours a day.

I do believe it's the little things that impact people the most. I try every day to do even the smallest things that I KNOW will benefit people in some way. I work in a medical center and I have many opportunities to help people, even in the simplest ways. I capture those opportunities whenever I can. Some days I begin to lose faith in humanity but then I see how I have touched someones life in even the smallest way and it's all worthwhile.

Wow Farah that is a pretty powerful message, but so very very true.
We never know just how much one simple word of encouragement a smile, or the reassuring acknowledgement of their actions can have on a child's life and it doesn't just apply to children, for inside each of us there is a child.
That child may be hidden away and not seen by others but it remains with us.
How that child will react to words and deeds has been programmed by what has happened many years ago often long before you knew the person. So we should always take special care with what we say and how we say it for remember inside each of us is a little child.
But regarding the children of today they are our future and sadly many of them have needs that their parents for one reason or another cannot forfill.
It may be only in a small way but if we can all do something to help just one child in need then the effects would be enormous and what a brighter better future we would all enjoy.

I try to make a difference in every thing I do for me and for others. If I tell them what is right and they still refuse to belive what is right I at least know that I did my part and hope that they will eventually look back on that day.

Yes ..I believe you never judge a book by it's cover ..and should be aware not just in your own backyard but world wide ..
Especially what is happening in Burma every day.. those children do not have the freedom that Teddy in the story did..
The torture and murder of the soul of liberty is being ignored.

If not, then what's my impact in life? What is my role?

Let me tell you a belief of mine, Allah Has created every single human in this life with unique personality, unique strengths, unique point of view, you know why? to deliver a UNIQUE IMPACT, to have a UNIQUE ROLE.

Think deeply to discover your role in life, if you really wanna know, you'll know, and then, and only then, YOU WILL BE.
