Yes I would starve. I have 5 cats and 1 dog and they are like children me. I certainly wouldn't/couldn't eat my own child to stay alive.

Maybe, since I'd never eat my German Shepard! We wouldn't starve if he managed to catch some of the animals on the island.

I certainly would not kill and eat a sensient being. Particularly not one with whom I had bonded.
And if you have a brain in your head - food on an island could be found without too much difficulty.

i wouldn't eat my dog, it's a psychological thing--he's like my child. but i'm sure my dog would eat me.
