Though Bangladesh is one of the least developed and most natural calamity prone countries of the world, trust me, the people are generally docile (submissive, easily managed) and are content with whatever little they have.
Since our education level is also very low in compare to India and Sri Lanka people here are not as 'cultured' as you expect them in western countries.
Since the poverty level is very high and the prices of essentials have multiplied in recent months and years, people are resorting to unfair means for maintaining their livelihood.
Btw, I'm from Bangladesh traveled more than 10 countries for various reasons and lengths and found that we need to improve a lot to be able to come at par with even Thailand or India.
