Thanks for asking! I do try and help people whenever I can and hope that I can accomplish that here. It is also fun to do. Points mean nothing to me and I don't need to "kill" time even though I have a lot of it to kill. I'm disabled so I'm at home all the time. I find it rewarding if I can help in any way possible. It's the reason I jump from forum to forum and not get involved in the politics of being on just one all the time. I answer only those questions which interest me and those I feel I may be able to have an impact on. Here and there I'll answer something just for fun too.

Depending on the situation, I've done it for all the above reasons. For points up to 250 when I could vote on stuff, while being helpful and killing time. I find more fun in reading silly questions than answering.

Dear,
Firstly to keep me inform with the latest information and the life style of current life. To brush up my knowledge on new things arise and answering questions using dictionaries, encyclopedia, Islamic books, Book of knowledge, Book of Science as references. I'm in the race with young people to higher level. At time my answer in typing but other just using website for answering which is not fair to other who did research and reference. Nothing much to type using Website as answers. That not their answer but the Wikipedia and Website is answering for them. It's being accepted as best answer. Any lets the Yahoo Team decide. At time is fun and at time killing the time. By the Way, I'm addicted to Yahoo Answers. I improve lots of knowledge through Yahoo Answers and at the same time improve my English. I love Yahoo Answers.

the available answers are incomplete. why do we do anything? its called eliciting values.
a. get points = will give me a certain feeling
b. help people = will give me a certain feeling
c. for the fun of it. = will give me a certain feeling
d. to kill time = will give me certain feeling
ie. if you could do any one thing in the world, to make life worth living, what would you do? I would, dance. and if you could dance, why is that important? because it makes me FEEL like im "free" on the dance floor.
why do we buy those new sneakers or a new car. because of the FEELing we think it will give us. when we use that product/service or do the "thing" (answering questions).

well I mostly go on here because its fun and its an easy way to kill time....I only pay attention to points when im close to getting to a new level (Im only on level 2 :( )
I also like the feeling of helping people cause
I know how they feel like If someone forgot there textbook
and they need to know something...Its happened to me before so I know how they feel :)

d. I am on tour and on a bus for hours at a time,so for the next couple months I will have lots of free time! Its nice to have a break for once!

a. - If there wansent a point system no-one would realy use yahoo answers.
