I'm being a bee for halloween and I need some black wings.
I can't find any anywhere, so I need to make some.
Does anyone know how to do that?

try wire coathangers bending them to the shape you want, and some
BIG BLACK SHEER Pantyhose...
and rubberbands to tie the ends off.

add glue and glitter maybe dental floss (to make spidery web like lines...

then maybe some elastic from a fabric store
to hold them on

good luck and have fun!!!

Get a couple of coathangers and unbend them and bend them into the shape of wings. Then take a pair of black pantyhose and cut the legs from the body. Pull the legs over the wing shape and glue or sew the stocking into place. You can cut off any excess. Now for the fun bit...you can add sequins or paint or glitter or ribbons...any or all of the above. Then sew the wings to your costume and youre done. Easy and cheap.

Like BuzzB said, that will work. I did it for my daughter to make her ladybug wings. After making the wings, have someone help you form a figure 8 out of elastic that fits around your arms and over your back, cut to length and attach it to the wings. but definately coat hangers, bent, and pull Queen size black tights or pantyhos over them, then embellish. good luck!

If you do them with black pantyhose but use the triangle method shown here, it will give you a way to safely attach them.

I'd get some craft wire, bend it into shape, and cover it with black fabric. Maybe staple it together or glue the fabric to fabric as it's wrapped around it.
