I want to know if anyone has seriously gotten pregnant while on the depo shot, only answer if you or some one you absolutley know has gotten pregnant. my dr. says they never heard of it happening.

I know a few women who HAVE gotten pregnant on the shot.
The shot is NOT 100% effective, just like all other contraceptives.

LMAO..I have a child that just turned 11 years old today that was conceived while I was on the depo shot. It CAN happen. She is walking, living, breathing proof.
I was blown away when I found out I was pregnant with her. I am absolutely thrilled to have her in my life...wouldn't change a thing...but I found out I was 2 months pregnant with her when my son was only 9 months old. I was not ready for it, and it absolutely rocked my world - but in a good way. I love both of my children with all my heart. I'm glad it happened...it was just very difficult to understand at the time lol. When my doctor came in to tell me that the reason I wasn't feeling well was due to the fact that my pregnancy test came back positive, my mouth fell open. I said, "uh, YOU are giving me the depo shot!!!" She said, "You are having a baby!" I said, "I ALREADY HAVE A BABY AND HE'S AT HOME WITH MY MOTHER!!"
Before I left the doctor's office, I had my husband leave early from work to meet me there. I got home and showed him the picture of the baby....he actually said, "Who's baby is that?" LOL

Reading this is beyond depressing to me because I don't want kids.I've heard women say if you were taking the pill right you won't get pregnant.Others say that it might not work anyway. I'm 21 but i'm seriously looking into having a tubal ligation!!! I've heard people say that no one should have hormones going through their body if they don't have a chemical imbalance. Who Knows?
