Well oddly enough, I wasn't pestered to buy any this year so I didn't bother with one. When I think of the hours spent on those things in the past!! Good thing it didn't come to mind to any of the kids. They were too busy with other ventures I guess.
We have certainly carved some very interesting ones in the past. Always took the time to do some really good ones and put up all kinds of stuff, but just not in the mood this year.
One year we got each kid to bring in a pumpkin , carve or decorate it at school and put them all on display in the hallway. The kids always had a "parade" with their costume and parents would come to watch it and look at all the pumpkins. Had some good ones in there.

Well, in my math class we were having competitions with a math pumpkin. I carved a graph of a parabola into mine. It was the equation Y=2Xsquared+5! It looks really cool, but I am not going to be a math nerd and put it out for Halloween! haha.
