Ok, this sounds sort of embarrassing but...my vaginal area is really itchy right now... and i dont know why...? ;___;
Well im going to be getting my period soon (cause im cramping up), could that be the reason why it itches so bad?
Im not sure if its a Yeast infection though(never had one to my knowledge). Theres no discharge, it just really itches and burns on the edges of the vulva lips. @____@
I cant stop scratching... but when i do stop its usually better for a while unless my underwear starts chafing me.. ;___;
--
Also.. its not an STD because i've never had sex. :P
--
Hmm...im not sure if this would have anything to do with it...but
im taking medication for my lymph nodes and i guess one of the side effects is a Yeast infection..? =___=
But..the itching started before i got the meds so... :P
--
Should i try some vagisil or monastat? :P
---
~please help!
Thanks ♥

Go to walmart or a drug store and get monastat....Im going through the same thing too. Also my Dr. perscribed benidril to help with the itching, never had a DR. perscribe that before, but i guess its helping with the intense/insane itching. BUT as everyone else has said since this is your first yeast infection it probably would be wise to go to a DR. first.

I would suggest you go to your doctor. I've never heard of vaginal itching before starting your period. I know. It could be your medication. Though if you've been using a new soap or bathing product that could cause an allergic reaction. Just check with your families physician to make sure it's nothing serious.

well, one doesn't get infections from medications so your medication is probably irratating it in some way. the medication should have a side effects list on it that tells you what might happen. go to your doctor to get it checked out if the itching doesn't stop within two to three days or when you get your "friend"...

This could be a yeast infection but I would recommend seeing your doctor first to see what they think before trying to self treat.

sure try them....stay away from any food or drinks containing yeast at this time also....you sound like a smart cookie so if in 3 days things aren't better head to a doctor....drink tons of water too

it could be a yeast infection, but it sounds more like an allergic reaction. It could be from shaving, types of soaps, laundry detergent/fabric softener, or the type of material ure underwear is made of.

hmm if chafing makes it worse just rub down with some baby powder, it will stop the chafing and should help soothe the itch

It sounds like it's just dry skin. Apply a little bit of vaseline to the area.
