Have you never heard of the handless thumb??? It roams these parts every halloween.
It used to be a lovely thumb on a nice hand which had four fingers as well. Then one day the hand contracted paronychia, and that was the beginning of the end.
Normally this is easily treated but because the owner of the hand was lazy and thought 'I prefer my other hand' they didnt bother getting it treated.
Eventually it got so bad sepsis set in and the thumb had to be amputated. The thumb was so enraged by this that it ran away and full of rage found answers where it will give thumbs down to any perfectly normal answer.
That is the legend of the handless thumb.

It's ok Busy Bee.. You can rest in the knowledge that you are not alone. There are many of us out here who get abused by the phantom thumber. Doesn't matter what you say or what category you say it in the phantom will find us and thumbs down us. We can at least take some comfort knowing that we are not being singled out.
