Pretty much everywhere except the USA measures gasoline in litres. My Hyundai takes about 35 litres to fill. At a $1/L, I know it's 35 dollars to fill. If I can go 500 kilometres on that tank, I know the fuel consumption is 7 litres/100 km (the universal unit for fuel consumption).

Liters. Because it is the appropriately sized measure of volume which is how gasoline is usually sold.

20 gallons is approx. 80 liters.
