5 volumes. date given to TB hospital was 1903. very good shape. ( i know that photos/examination would be needed) trying to find a starting point for getting a value of the collection. not aware of any damage to the paper. color plates in each book very good shape. it has the stamp of the TB hospitals name and address in each book. (front and back) it also has the card holder and library check out card listing the individuals who checked the books out. (dates/names/room numbers) just wondering what the value is, if any

First off you need to find out if the set is complete at five volumes or if there are more in the series. A fully complete set can often be worth more than individual volumes, due to the time and effort involved in assembling a set. The fact that they were once part of a lending library can reduce the value.

You also need to know the publisher and date of publishing. They can't be first editions, as Poe was first published some 60-70 years earlier. You can research eBay or used book sites like abebooks.com or bookfinder.com once you know what to compare to.

Check it out on Abebooks.com. I don't think that it will be worth much. sorry.
