Did you just quit your job without giving your employer a two weeks notice or let them know that you planned to resign.

Did you do that because you were stressed or frustrated with the job?

Do you use that job as a reference?

Actually, I retired from my job.
I took a 3 week vacation and never came back..
I'm not one for good byes so I thought it would be best this way.

Worked 40 years there....

I did notify them when I was on vacation and signed all the papers.

never quit a job without giving notice especially if you're going to list them as a reference. the management may not give a good reference.

I have left a handful of jobs without giving any notice....... they all deserved it. Supervisors/managers/co-workers all on complete and utter 'power trips'. Totals jobsworths.
And no.....those ones don't get used as references....however if you give the head offices' addresses they will more often than not give good references.
