He even went to a national tournament in bowling. He travels anywhere he and my mother wish..... oh and they still have sex. So hell yes I want to be old one day. It seems like a fun time

Yeah you get to relax and slow down and enjoy life in a more simple way because you don't have the energy to live life in such a speedy fashion. Watch the birds, enjoy your meals, spend time with family. I adore my grandma and I think overall she has a pretty good life. Even a new boyfriend since my grandpa passed away fifteen yeares ago. One thing is for certain, we will all be old someday there is no way around it. And I wouldn't want to be young forever anyway.

I like to think about all the funny stuff I see old people do in movies. Sometimes it's ok to be a crazy old person, but if you do that stuff when you're younger, you're just an idiot. I have already decided that I am going to start dressing up as a wizard when I turn 65. That should be fun.

Believe it or not your forties are the best but like you, when i hit 30 i thought it's over my life is over. We can blame the media for that. Look what happens when a female star starts to look her age. What do you see when you are in line to pay for your groceries, like this week i saw three very beautiful women on the cover and the magazine zoomed in on the very little bit of cellulite they have. Is it any wonder why we are scared to death of getting old.

I think the alternative to getting old really sucks!

As I get older, passing 40 and then 50 I find I am happier with myself, not dissatisfied with anything and I have learned to appreciate the little things in life. It is a time for recollecting your good times and if you are lucky, making love and enjoying the present with your love.

Good Luck

Not sure what you mean by "old" or "that old" but here goes. The only way not to get old is to die young. You sure you want to do that?

Here are some pluses I see:

Mortgage is paid off
Kids are grown and on their own
Grandchildren
Parents do not depend on you, because, sadly, they have passed away.
You have little, if anything, to prove, either to yourself or to others.
Less stress in your life, if you're in good health.

It's so much fun to grow old. you look back on the fun life you've had if you have kids you share it with them. you gain wisdom when you get older because you have been there. i'm 37 and I just got married in May my second but it's ok because I have found the man i want to grow old with. It's fun especially if you have someone to do it with!

*grin* Sorry, sweetie, but chances are you will be that old one day. Would you prefer to die young?

I think there are benefits and liabilities to any age. Think about it. Being older means that you won't really need to worry about working anymore, right? Have more time to do what you want to rather than what you need to do.
