When I run into Harley guys they tell me the "M" means 'moron" and the '50" means "50cc"

You bought one and you don't know what the NAME means?

I'm not really surprised.

Good thing you didn't buy a Harley.

Pup is correct you have a Maurauder with a 50 cubic inch engine.

The "M" stands for Marauder, the "50" is how many cubic inches the motor is.
