I think that the Americans don't actually care about Iraqis (there is no evidence that they do) and the only reason they oppose the war is because we are losing, if we were winning, everyone would be supporting it. Afterall, I think the American populace (throughout just about all of our wars) has supported the military action when we were winning, but not when losing (i.e. WWII vs. Vietnam)

To the second person who responded: every president in the history of the country has broken federal laws, that doesn't mean he was a bad president.

To those who are incapable of understanding what successin Iraq means, you don't deserve an explanation, but I will tell you. Success = overthrow of government and implementation of an effective new government without hundreds of Iraqis being killed everyday. Also when the president declared mission accomplished the mission was accomplished, but unfortunately the mission had changed.

It's a kind of war that just can't be won and can only fuel more trouble and could just go on and on ... War is business and it's costing taxpayers a fortune while many profit out of this hopeless "war". That's why it isn't being supported - not because anyone is losing necessarily.

If we were winning we wouldn't still be there, it would've been over 4 years ago!!!

And for the record, yes I care about Iraqis but admittedly I'm just as pissed off about the sh**load of American tax dollars that Bush is stealing from taxpayers and funnelling to his friends in the defense industry!!!

Bush is either a traitor or else completely incompetent, I'm not sure which.

Only the political left in the US (including the democratic party) are criticizing Bush.

The vast 'silent majority' of Americans support George W. Bush and the Republican Party.

President Bush has been doing the wise thing throughout U.S. involvement in Afghanistan and Iraq, and we should have invaded Iran years ago.

President Bush, the Republican Party, and their Homeland Security, are the only things which have prevented a more devastating terrorist attack on U.S. soil.

The judicial activists and their democratic party lackies are the ones causing internal dissent within the USA.

Define success!

"MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" was more than 3 YEARS ago! This was an illegal invasion and occupation of a defensive country for misguided reasons.

Now it is a Civil War. What on earth do you mean by "success"?

I don't necessarily agree. Mostly because we are winning this war, just like we were winning Vietnam. Americans just oppose wars when they can't see an end in sight.

Yes -- because many of the thing he has done that people have a problem with have nothing to do with Iraq. Starting with all the federal laws he's repeatedly violated.

But talking about "success" and "failure" in Iraq is meaningless -- we're not one of the sides in the conflict. It's like talking about whether the umpire won or lost the baseball game.

dont blame bush for the division of our nation its up to the populace to do that and anyone in the oval office will always be criticized its a fact of history....later though he will be remembered for his good deeds and some of his bad....you think a thousand years fron now anyone will care?

You've obviously have little or no experience in dealing with the left. They would criticize bush for something else...regardless. They'd be in a tizzy because not enough body bags were being made thus creating a bad "body bag" economy. The left doesn't concern themselves with anything but criticisms.

That's a really big "IF"

IF bush was a good President
IF bush didn't attack the wrong country
IF bush didn't divide our nation during a time of war
