Those who want to continue denying the problem have changed tactics.
They used to say "it doesn't exist" -- now they say "it's a natural cycle, and man doesn't have anything to do with it".
Both are simply excuses to continue consuming fossil fuels, and to continue avoiding the need to develop alternative energy supplies -- both are just plain denials of basic common sense.
It doesn't matter whether the worst predictions of global climate change are accurate or not -- ignoring the problem is a lose-lose -- and finding clean renewable alternative energy sources is a win-win.
So, the only people who don't want to address the problem are those too greedy or too lazy to want to make a cleaner and better world.

OK... let's be clear on this.
Global Warming itself is not a fraud. There is no doubt that there is a current trend toward warming.
What IS a fraud is what Al Gore and so many others are doing with that trend. Scare tactics and pseudo-science are wonderful political tools... ask the man preaching that we'll be underwater in 20 years where he gets his data... since even his own scientists from his Sci Fi flick have stated that such results assume a millennium of continued warming along the current trend.
That's what the fraud is.
Now... if it's these kinds of scare tactics that are required to get people to move towards an independence from foreign oil, then so be it... but don't buy his idiotic carbon credits and make him richer off it!
FACT: There is NO conclusive evidence that CO2 in the atmosphere is the cause of the current warming trend. Other factors, such as increased solar output during the solar maximum and various other climate-related changes must certainly be accounted for when examining the situation.
FACT: Even if CO2 IS the cause, which must be considered just like all other options must be, man-made Global Warming is ridiculous. We contribute roughly 2% of the total CO2 in the atmosphere and to blame that for the trend whilest disregarding the other 98% requires a "willing suspension of disbelief". How's that for an inconvenient truth?
Do the right thing, but for the right reasons, and don't buy into the religion that is Man-Made Global Warming.

That the earth is getting warmer has been established beyond any reasonable doubt.
What is in question is whether or not man is exacerbating the warming. And if this is truly a problem or just part of the normal cycle the earth is going through and has gone through many times before. There is plenty of evidence to show that the earth was much warmer in the past.
I think that the effect man has had on Global warming has been blown way out of proportion, we see evidence of global warming on other planets in our solar system, comparable to the numbers we see for our own planet. So if this is the case on other planets where there are no humans how can our effect be even calculated.

Global warming is not a fraud. It is not man made.
This is a natural cycle of the climate. The sun IS getting hotter and there will be more intense solar storms within the next 10 years. The other planets are warming up also. There will be weather cycles of warming and cooling and there will be another ice age, much like the one 10,000 years ago.

I don't lose sleep over global warming. We need to be good stewards of our environment but the fear mongering over this is sick and twisted. I'm archiving many of the scare articles being written so that I can pull them out in 10 or 20 years and have a good laugh.

Global warming is not a fraud. All science agrees on that.
What people are debating is...what is the cause.
Is it man made causes or natural?
That is the question people are asking and trying to find out.
It might be part nature but we definitely have something to do with it.
You would think with all the technology we have that some one could have came up with the energy fix that is clean.

I think global warming is the current climate trend, but there is a lot of debate on what is the cause. Scientists have discovered evidence that the climate was much warmer in the past than what it is right now. They have also discovered there have been times of much colder climate.....sounds like the climate fluxuates over time.

Global warming isn't a fraud, any scientist will tell you that. I think the people on the National Academy of Science knows what they're talkling about.
Bush is finally starting to admit it, because he has no other choice. Of course, he is still stalling by saying "more research" and "voluntary measures" are needed.

The fraudulent part is claiming that GW is man made.
That is merely a mass marketing scheme.
Basically, Al Gore is the fraud here.

I think it is best left out of the political arena as it has been overly exploited by politicians. We don't know whom to trust and what to believe these days. Just use common sense. Don't pollute. We owe our environment that much.
