Is it enough?

October 30 afternoon: When I went the store to buy more gummy laces, they were sold out! I nearly panicked, then wrote this question.
October 30 evening: Checked my answers.
October 31: Went to a different store, and found all the candy was HALF PRICE! (Now if someone had informed me of THAT, they would have got best answer.) I more than doubled my inventory of candy. Then I had enough to give each trick-or-treater two pieces.

It's Fine but some kids might complain and say your cheap, but not in front of your face.
Some kids might even "Trick" you.
Give at least two or three.

I live in an apartment complex so I haven't had any trick or treaters in about 30 years. Here they have a get-together at the local gym or civic center for the kids to attend. The people here are safety conscious.

When I was growing up we'd have maybe 100 kids come to our door over 3 evenings...and we'd give them a nice sized candy bar (back then they cost a lot less than now), probably today it would be 90 cents or a dollar apiece. Or we'd give them a quarter. When I got married my husband insisted on opening the door to the halloweeners (while I had to work late) and he caught a case of the shingles from them. If you didn't give the kids any candy they would soap your front door and windows, but we loved kids. These days, if you do have trick or treaters I'd suggest you give them about 5 or 6 of the tiny candy bars (anything that's well wrapped), or little boxes of yellow and orange candy corn.

Of course it is, especially if you live in an area that is heavily trafficed with kids and costumes. When I was little, my dad would buy like 5 bags of candy and all would be gone by 830ish. Some kids we would give two but majority got one piece. If you have big things then hell ya give them one!
