the monarchy is an out dated institution. the queen is an out of touch old woman who hasn't got a clue about life in the real world. Her and her family are a complete waste of tax payers money

She's not bad. Does the job, shows constant dignity, probably despairs about who's going to do the job when she dies.

Being Scottish, though, and Scotland having only ever been reigned over by one Queen called Elizabeth, I'm going to start a campaign to have her named Elizabeth the First of Scotland, as calling her the second is completely wrong.

Well her reign has been as a constitutional Monarch. this means that she has no political power. Which is better than the presidents of most countries who wield such power as the Monarchs of England had up to the 19th century.

My view is that had, the Numpty Bush, come to her to have our troops help in Afghanistan and Iraq she would have refused. After all she lived through a war where the Yanks refused to help for 4 years and now crow about how they saved us fro the Nazis.

There have been ups and downs during the last 54 years, but these have been imposed on us by the various civilian governments and not her, thus I would support the Monarchy rather than the present so called democratically elected government in Westminster.

God Save The Queen.

She's a great Queen.

I am happier to "pay" for her than I am for some of the lazy dole scroungers in this country. They waste far more taxpayers' money than the Royals ever do. The Queen is worth every penny.

She never expected to be queen, but she stepped up to the responsibility at a young age, and has worked hard for the British people her entire life. Even in her eighties she is still working away!

How many of us have absolutely no choice about what career we will have, and no prospect of retirement whatsoever? How many of us are photographed everywhere we go and have our every spoken word and facial expression scrutinised? I think she does a great job!
