Does it mean that twin chicks would hatch from this egg?

If the egg lived, it's possible, but exceptionally unlikely. As far as I know, it's only happened in cases of human intervention.

In most cases, one devours the other, or both die.

It is impossible for the chicken egg to develop into twins, because there is not enough room inside the egg. The two embryos may start to grow, but will eventually die, not because of food, but because of space and air.

yes they can there can also be three and no they can not hatch because all of them eat off the yolk and there is not enough food for all the embrioes to comletaly grow and sometimes it even doesnt even get past the cell diffusion part!!!
