in answer to my previous question about my stressed out anenomea iodine was refered to as important to crustation molting .does this affect the health of other invertabea? and i just put mr. squishy (thats the anenemea's name) into the tank about 24 hrs ago after an hour and a half slow drip adjustment period.he's not really opening very far and i assume this to be a sign of stress.he did move to the spot he's in now on his own so i assume he likes it.my lighting is marine-glo,ocean-glo,and a corallife 50-50 (3 full length florecent tubes)figure i got the bases covered there.......am i just impatient.....what is a normal settling in time frame for sebea,seabe..??? anenomea? thx

Are your fluorescents the standard tubes or T-5 or compact fluorescents. If the standard tubes (which the Hagen bulbs would seem to indicate), that may not be intense enough lighting for your anemone. As far as intensity, you want to start with at least 3-5 watts per gallon, and going upward. "Wattage" isn't always the best indication of what's suitable, though, since you have to factor in things like aquarium dimensions, particularly depth (as an example, a 20 long vs a 20 tall), distance from the light to the anemone, clarity of the water, wavelengths of the light, and color temperature of the light.

You'll be able to have an idea of this if your anemone is as high as he can get on the rock and still isn't opening fully (although after just 24 hours, it may still be adjusting to being moved). you can also calculate the wattage by adding the total wattage of your 3 tubes and dividing by the volume of your tank.
