Viewing the following page, it states that it's an inkjet printer.

If you go to the HP site and enter the model number it will tell you the unit is an inkjet. Inkjet uses cartridges, usually one for the black and one for the three other colors, which is a real waste of money since you will run out of one but not the others. A Laserjet uses individual color powdered ink cartridges that can be replaced as needed. The cost of laser ink is higher, but the output usually is much smoother.

If your printer is colour and cost less than £100, then its Ink Jet. Laser printers are more expensive, A monochrome laser printer will cost from £40. colour over £100.
Laser printer are better, they use toner (like photocopiers)
Ink jet printers use liquid ink, Expensive to buy the ink and prints aren't as crisp as laser printers.
Laser printers are also very fast. e.g . 25 A4 printed pages per min. They are often used in offices for this reason.
When printing with a laser printer , you will see smoke from the pages as they pop out the printer, due to the high heat needed to fix the toner.
