No. The government is controlled by the people. One man one vote.

Corporations are controlled by a handful of billionaires.

If it wasn't for gov't regulations, corporations would still be hiring children as young as 8, scaming consumers, and polluting our rivers so bad they'd catch fire.

It is government regulation that created the large companies by forcing restrictive regulations that are just too expensive for the average Joe company.

This forced small business out of the picture.

Now that the mega corps are in charge, even if you got rid of the regulations, the small guy still cannot compete just on the standpoint of bulk buying power.

Pandora's box is open and it is too late.

You can answer this by yourself. Would you buy a burger if people were dying from it or do you need the government to tell you not to buy that burger. Where did the light bulb come from, was it a government run agency or did a small start up company Edison Electric do it. What government agency came up with penicillin? Let's see NASA did invent Tang,,,, a miracle of modern science.

That's why Japan has internet service thirty times faster than the United States.The US government deregulated the telecommunications industry and let a few gatekeeper corporations monopolize internet technology in this country,stifling any sort of true competition,so that American internet and cell phone technology is years behind Japan and many European countries.
