You are assuming they do not do so, and that is unlikely.

However, donations from the rich do nothing to reduce poverty, as counterintuitive as it seems. The rich can reduce poverty only by efficiently producing wealth. If you look at ex-third world countries like the United States, the increase in wealth and reduction of poverty have been due to the ability of individuals to either attract wealth to produce more products and services at a lower cost or to use existing wealth efficiently. Poor countries do not permit wealth creation, except by the ruling junta. The lack of incentive to do well guarantees no one will be wealthy and many will be poor.

Some people say life sucks and other say life's good, to me life is what you make out of it. Some of the world richest people work hard to earn their money and will not easily give it away to countries or organizations, rather they usually give money away to foundations that work in a specific niche or what not. If you were to work hard to make a living, would you give money away to a drugist along side of the road? It is the same thing giving money to some countries where the government is corrupted and the money never reached its intended target. I do understand your point about helping the less fortunate and alot of people feel exactly like you do, but the issue is bigger than just giving money away

How can you say the queen is not donating to poor countries? She could give all her money to poor countries and then they would still be poor and so would she. These countries are in poverty because of their governments and that is the problem that needs to be solved!

Why should the rich give their hard earned money to the poor. It's not their fault people drop out of school, never go to college, and hope someone drops a bag of money at their doorstep one day. If they want money then they can earn it themselves, quit trying to mooch off of others and maybe you will get somewhere.

I do not think one could ever eliminate poverty altogether. There will always be the Strong and the weak among us,and there will always be the workaholics and the Lazy ones too.The geniuses and the Duffers ,the greedy and the skint flints. The best we could hope for is EQUALITY OF OPPORTUNITY.
