My wife called the doctor to find out what to do about the diarreha, after telling them he was gfcf they told her to give him activia yogurt for the enzymes in it. Problem is first ingredient is milk!! What the hell are they thinking its like they didnt even listen. Any suggestions on what I can do. Obviously docs. office is full of moron.

You can get a probiotic from a health food store. These can be added to formula or rice cereal, or whatever. This is just like what is in yogurt, and they make it for babies. You might want to see an alternative doctor, one that know more about a gfcf diet. Sometimes, mainstream medicine does not know how to handle alternative medicine. Is there any other formula you can use? Sometimes soy is just as bad as dairy. Good luck.

Ah, I know about that one to some degree. My friend's son has autism, and has been on the diet for about a year. It's SO tough finding things he can eat, at least when you're not used to it! That said, what about almond milk? It's like soy in that it's a milk substitute, but has no milk in it. If you find some that is fortified with calciuim, it should be fine.
In the meantime, until his tummy settles down, go with toast (the gluten - free kind, I suppose) and Pedialyte. I hope he feels better soon!

I would suggest a second opinion, maybe another doctor in the same clinic?Or if you feel so strongly, it may be time to find another office. Also, just because one person gave you a bad answer, doesn't mean that everyone there is " a moron".

There are other foods that can stop diarreha. Try the B.R.A.T. diet. Banana, rice, apple (No peel), toast.
