None of the above. Or all of the above and more, if you add them up. There are 63 known moons of Jupiter, the last time I checked. How old is your textbook?

Up to year 2000: 17 known moons.
Year 2000: Callirrhoe discovered. (Also Themisto, discovered and then lost in 1975, was rediscovered in 2000).
Year 2001: 10 more moons found & verified.
Year 2002: 12 more moons found & verified.
Year 2003: 21 more moons found & verified
Year 2004: 4 moons found & verified.

Yes, "d" is the closest answer. In 2002 "Sky & Telescope" magazine listed a total of 58 known moons for Jupiter.
