The rich will get richer faster. Might will rule the Streets and The Country will be like a Ship floating over the Oceans without any Navigational equipment towards catastrophe, and Religious Bigots will become the warlords.

Utter chaos for a few years, then we'll end up setting up another government to protect ourselves.
Better stock up on food and guns for the first few years =P

Surely disaster. People might think they don't need "babysat" but wait and see what happens if that occurred.

It would be a lawless society. You would have no protection whatsoever. People could murder, steal, abuse, etc. and there would be nothing anyone could do to stop it.
