okay so ive been taking prenatal vitamins and i noticed that they make my hair grow faster and my friend was wondering if anything would happen to him if he took them cause hes a guy.Does anyone know if he can take them?

Nothing will happen to him. Basically the only difference in the prenatals vs otc daily is that it adds iron and folic acid as well as doubling up on viatamin C. He could do the same thing if he just took two daily vitamins and then no one would think he's creepy! LOL

Prenatal vitamins have a little more of this (folic acid, for example), a little less of that....otherwise, they are just vitamins. My hair grew faster while I was pregnant with my first child - it was way more healthy looking too! Nice added bonus, I must say! Doesn't have anything to do with the vitamins though. Your guy could take the vitamins if he wanted, but he'd be better off taking something that is more suited for males in his age range.

I am pretty sure they won't hurt him hormonally but they might exceed the daily recommended amount of vitamins and minerals for a man. I suggest a male multi-vitamin. And besides, your hair might just grow fast. I don't think prenatals have anything to do with it.

He can take them if he wants to. They are just vitamins that have more than usual amounts of certain vitamins in them. He can get the same amount of vitamins by taking two Flintstones or regular type of vitamin daily. Don't sweat it, they are perfectly ok for him to take!

Nope, they are just vitamins. There isn't anything like estrogen in there. Tell him not to worry, he won't grow boobs! LOL...
Prenatal vitamins to do help hair grow faster but it's also in part due to your hormones. :)

If you are already pregnant and not just TTC, then your hair growing faster could be a result of your pregnancy. Sometimes the pregnancy horomones also make your hair grow faster.

They're mostly lot's of B vitamins and folic acid. They won't hurt a guy.
